MAREDSOUS ABBEY

Welcome to the Maredsous Abbey website.

We are a community of Benedictine monks, united around the Gospel and the Rule of St. Benedict, and of people who want to work with us to bring this place to life and make it welcoming to all: guests, pilgrims, students, passers-by and, of course, Internet users.

Enjoy your visit!

      The Maredsous Bible

An original and renewed presentation of the Maredsous Bible. Easy to read, with very legible characters, it takes up the pastoral notes of the Pastoral Bible in the form of small introductions to the various biblical passages. The translation, studied for a clear and fluid public reading, remains very largely that of Fr. Passelecq as revised in 1968 and several times corrected.
